SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
Full-Time Position, Pay Grade 7
Opening Date: 11/4/2025
Starting Salary: $20.15/hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 yrs. experience in construction and maintenance activity; Have a valid Driver’s License; At least 18 years of age; Ability to lift 125 pounds; High school diploma or GED.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are illustrative and not exhaustive. Omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.
Cleans sewer lines using mechanically powered sewer rods and various types and sizes of bits to clean sewer lines of varying diameters.
Researches maps, blueprints, and sketches for information on locations, types, and sizes of lines.
Reads maps, Bagley’s maps, and drafting prints for information on lines required to complete Work Orders.
Drives work truck to and from sites: Obtaining and maintaining the required State Driver’s License to drive the truck to and from sites.
Makes access to sites: Removes manhole lids, dirt, brush and other obstructions to ensure safe access to designated manholes.
Supervises assigned worker: Trains and supervises to ensure that all assigned tasks are performed safely and accurately.
Direct or assist workers engaged in the maintenance or repair of equipment.
Recommend changes in working conditions or equipment use to increase crew efficiency.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate work activities with those of other departments or crews.
Answer inquiries from other crews
Locates, GPS, and inventories assets as needed to complete Work Orders.
Performs dye testing, smoke testing, or other work to complete special projects as assigned.
Assists other crews in work activity as required by department needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge in the concept and process of cleaning sewer lines with manual rods
Skilled in documenting work activities into CMMS
Skilled in reading and interpreting maps
Ability to obtain a valid Arkansas Driver’s License
Ability to open, remove, and replace manhole lids.
Ability to fit into a 24" manhole
Ability to lift and remove 125 lb manhole lid.
Ability to read and fill job orders VIA CMMS
