NLR Wastewater Employment Opportunity - Crew Assistant / VAC Truck














Full-Time Position, Pay Grade 16

Starting Salary: $67,151.11 – $107,553.78 DOE

Closing Date: Until Filled


POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing major construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The Major Projects Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring all project objectives and client expectations are met.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 5 years of managing commercial or civil construction projects

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying scopes and deadlines.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety standards, and building codes.

- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project demands.

- Class II Wastewater Operator license, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

SAMPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage major construction projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to develop project plans and specifications.

- Ability to guide multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, surveyors, construction crews, and other specialists.

- Establish and maintain project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.

- Lead pre-construction meetings, project status meetings, and close-out meetings

- Assist in development of administrative policies for NLR Wastewater.

- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

- Assist in easement acquisitions for NLR Wastewater projects.

- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.

- Proactively identify and resolve issues or delays affecting project performance.

- Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and milestones.

- Ensure all project work is completed in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards
